ATHENIAN TREASURE


Just up the hill from the Byzantine museum on a quiet street in Athens' elegant Kolonaki neighborhood is To Kafenio a wonderful restaurant that few tourists find.

A dozen of so pink - clothed tables fill the small wood pancled room; several more ar clustered under trees out side.

The menu's in Greek, but ask your waiter to shoose for you.
Fried cheece, moussaka, zucchini - and mushroom salad arrive superbly pre pared.

The bill for two, with wine, is less than 50?.

You can catch the sunset from The Acropolis, wander across the Plaka and arrive at To Kafenio for a fashionably late meal.
