I visit Athens every year and use the city metro frequently. It is very clean, well organised and easy to use. Some of the metro stations are like visiting a museum. So much history on display. Highly recommended

Hello! My name is Serzhema. These is my first trip to Athens. I came in liner from Creet. I visited Acropol in the morning, then i had breakfast in nice restaurant &&#3534Dionysos zonars&&#3534.I took &&#3534Omlet tomato&&#3534. Near this place i found one of a busstations of exursion busses. You can pay 18 euro and use this bus 2 days, and you would have a map with stations, and some lecturars on your language about the Athens during your trip on this bus. It goes every 30 min. I came to the station &&#3534 The National Arheological museum&&#3534. There was my appartements near. After short relaxing, i bought the fresh orange juse and came to the museum. In monday it work till 7. There is amaizing museum. I walked there 2 hours. When i came outside, i saw the sun was sat, and i decided find a cafe. I came to Plaka. I had chosen &&#3534Idiston bistrot&&#3534, i ate fruit salad and drunk 3 cup of different tea during my waching filn on ipad. I was there 2 hours, it&&#3539s really good place. Then i came home. Next day i visited the National garden, the hill of Filopapou,i saw there very nice charge of St. Dmitrios, then i came to Square of Sintagma. And after some small trip on metro i was in Pireus and find my lainer.

The Athens metro system is efficient, clean, and fairly extensive. When the news extensions are completed, it should make getting around Athens incredibly easy. It is one of the best metro systems I have ever seen, but most of my experiences with metros come from America.

The airport and the subway system in Athens are really first rate. I hate airports on principle, but Athens’ almost made it pleasant. The subway system was easy to access and get around in and was spotless. Another was the condition of public restrooms everywhere we went.

The people were friendly and in was rare not to find someone in the stores, etc. who didn’t have some command of english.

We were in Athens beginning of March we found the Metro service was very good and pretty easy to understand the stations are beautiful looked after it was a joy to use the service.

I personally found that the athenian metro system is one of the best metro station that I have ever seen. I have travelled all over the world and cant compare another metro to it.
